Patty is an owner and a founding partner with DBMA Family Law Group. She has practiced family law since 2004 and has supported and guided hundreds of individuals through their family law cases in both Oregon and Washington.  Patty utilizes mediation and collaborative law for a private, efficient, respectful, transparent and non-combative approach to moving families through transitions. Patty also maintains a robust litigation practice.

Offering careful advice and accessibility, Patty strives to ease clients through what can often be a difficult experience, but also sees the process as a gateway to a positive future. Her strength is in presenting information clearly so that clients are empowered to make better informed choices. She is committed to helping clients design a process that enables them to efficiently achieve their individual goals. 

Patty is originally from Laguna Hills, California. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science at the University of San Francisco and later made her way to Portland to attend Lewis & Clark Law School. She began her collaborative training in 2009 and has continued to receive advanced and in-depth training in the subsequent years. Patty was certified as a mediator in 2019.  In her free time, Patty enjoys scuba diving, yoga, commuting to work by bicycle and downhill skiing with her daughter. She serves on the board of the Oregon Association for Collaborative Professionals and has been recognized as a Super Lawyer in Oregon for the past several years.
